Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Credit Head to lead our credit operations and risk management functions. The Credit Head will play a pivotal role in ensuring prudent credit assessment, underwriting, and portfolio management practices to support our mission of expanding access to affordable housing finance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement credit policies, procedures, and underwriting guidelines in line with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

- Oversee the credit evaluation process for loan applications, including analysis of borrower profiles, creditworthiness, property valuations, and risk assessment.

- Lead a team of credit analysts and underwriters, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to ensure high-quality credit decisions and adherence to turnaround time targets.

- Collaborate with sales and business development teams to optimize credit processes, streamline workflows, and enhance customer experience while maintaining credit quality.

- Monitor and manage credit risk exposure through ongoing portfolio reviews, risk analysis, and identification of early warning signals.

- Develop and implement strategies for mitigating credit losses, including collections and recovery efforts, in collaboration with the collections team.

- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and market developments related to affordable housing finance and credit risk management.

- Prepare regular reports and presentations on credit performance, delinquency trends, portfolio quality, and other key metrics for senior management and stakeholders.

- Foster a culture of compliance, integrity, and continuous improvement within the credit department, promoting adherence to ethical standards and regulatory requirements.

- Drive initiatives to enhance credit scoring models, automation, and digitalization of credit processes to improve efficiency and scalability.

Requirements:

- Must having exposure in affordable housing finance.

- Proven track record of successfully managing credit operations, implementing credit policies, and delivering results in a regulated environment.

- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess credit risk, interpret financial statements, and make data-driven decisions.

- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.

- Sound knowledge of regulatory requirements, credit risk modeling techniques, and portfolio management principles.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and drive change initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and risk management practices.
