The incumbent will be responsible to strategize and drive the operations of the Department to fulfill the organisation's vision of being a technology leader . She/he will be specifically responsible for the following:  - Identify and execute Technical Training needs for all businesses of the organisation: To connect with businesses and understand their technical training needs. Visualize and propose the latent needs. Plan, organize training program to support the business needs. Identify the futuristic technical training needs and plan equipping businesses by offering training.  - Running and positioning of the organisation's several training centers: To plan and deploy resources across centers to enable achievement of objectives. Liaise with government bodies as per requirement for efficient operations.   - Conceptualize and execute Technical initiatives: Run initiatives / sessions / contests and other programs to educate and inform employees with emerging technological advancement.  - Representing in external forums: Incumbent should be capable to represent the organisation at Industrial Meets, Academic Institutes and relevant professional forums which helps in Influencing technical education boards and other bodies ethically  - Expand Industry readiness program: Corporate Training department offers an Industry Readiness program for Diploma and Graduate Engineering students. Enhance coverage by popularizing the program at the institutes.   - Visualize and work towards achieving positioning of CTEA as a Technical university, including but not restricted to:  Proliferate existing association with institutions like ISRO, IITs.   Identify and engage with world class technical institutes for imparting technical training and offer certifications, accredited courses.   Institutionalize R&D COE by associating with organisations like ISRO, DRDO, BARC etc.  Required competencies  - Strategic thinking and execution capability with futuristic vision  - Networking & Influencing: Stakeholders (Businesses / Govt. Bodies / Technical Institutions / Industry bodies / Forums  - Understanding of skill development initiative of government  - Keen interest in the field  - High on networking skill  - High on drive  Education  Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics). Masters / PhD will be an added advantage  Experience  Min 20 years with good technical companies. Minimum last 5 years in heading training for an Engineering / Technology Institute / Organisation will be preferred
