Position : Head - Corporate Legal
Qualification : A law degree from a reputed accredited institution
Experience : 20+ Years
- Legal Strategy and Counsel : Develop and implement the company's legal strategy to align with business goals and objectives.
- Provide timely and strategic legal advice to senior management and the Board of Directors.
- Anticipate and identify legal issues and provide proactive solutions to mitigate risks.
- Analyze and process large quantities of information. You must be able to detect patterns and trends in past legal issues or cases, assess options and make sound judgments
- Contract Management : Oversee the drafting, Cutting-edge negotiations, and review of contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
- Ensure that contractual arrangements are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Litigation Management : Manage and oversee any litigation matters involving the company.
- Collaborate with external legal counsel when necessary and represent the company's interests in legal proceedings.
- Risk Management : Identify and assess legal risks associated with business activities and propose risk mitigation strategies.
- Implement measures to minimize legal exposure and protect the company's interests.
- Regulatory Compliance : Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Stay informed about changes in legislation and assess their impact on the company.
- Corporate Governance : Provide guidance on corporate governance matters and ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
- Organize and facilitate board meetings, ensuring proper documentation and compliance.
- Government Relations : Build and maintain relationships with regulatory authorities and governmental agencies.
- Represent the company's interests in interactions with regulatory bodies.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements during the deal-making process
- Intellectual Property Manage and protect the company's intellectual property portfolio, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights.
- Mergers and Acquisitions : Provide legal oversight and due diligence in mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements during the deal-making process.
- Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility Code of Conduct, Data Privacy.
- Promote ethical behaviour and ensure the company's commitment to corporate social responsibility.
- Others In-depth knowledge of corporate law, commercial transactions, and regulatory compliance.
- Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Bribery & Corruption, Competition Compliance & Export Controls, Third Party Due Diligence & Structured Lobbying.
- Expertise in Civil and Criminal Law
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
