Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement strategic communication plans that align with the company's objectives and target audience.
- Oversee all aspects of internal and external communication, including media relations, public relations, crisis communication, and stakeholder engagement.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of communication professionals to deliver high-quality work and meet deadlines.
- Cultivate relationships with media outlets, journalists, and industry influencers to secure positive coverage and manage media inquiries effectively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all communication channels.
- Monitor and analyze media coverage and industry trends to identify opportunities and mitigate potential risks.
- Serve as a spokesperson for the company, representing our brand in various public forums and events.
- Develop and manage communication budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost-effective strategies.
- Stay abreast of emerging communication technologies and trends to continuously innovate and improve our communication efforts.
- Handle crisis communication situations with professionalism and transparency, mitigating potential damage to the company's reputation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- 15-25 years of progressive experience in corporate communication, with a strong background in advertising agency experience.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful communication strategies in a corporate setting.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve results.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong media relations experience, with a network of contacts in relevant industries.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in crisis communication and reputation management is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other communication tools/software.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively to solve complex problems.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
