Position Name : Head Corporate Audit - Data Analytics

Responsibilities : Key Objective / Overall Job Responsibility :

- Leadership: Developing and maintaining the internal audit service in a professional manner which seeks to ensure that it is effective and commands respect both internally and externally. Ensuring that the audit service develops and maintains high standards of customer service and responsiveness, high standards of staff conduct and integrity are maintained, identifying and developing appropriate training needs on latest IT technology to upgrade knowledge on Data Analytics / Big Data / Cyber Security / Information Security / IT Controls & Governance controls of audit staff as may be necessary

- Planning: Providing Data Analytics support in preparing audit plans and strategies for desired audit coverage, compatible with the requirements of governance process, risk management and control.

- Resources: Managing effectively the staff, budget and activities of audit services in order to meet with audit objectives through right mix of skills, competencies and strengths.

- Assurance reporting: Providing Data Analytics support in preparing reports for and advice of senior management, audit committee, including advice on adequacy of controls and procedures in existing as well as newly developing systems and processes.

- Professional/Technical: Maintaining a working knowledge of relevant legislations, policies and procedures of company, Data Analytics tools, Cyber Security Acts. Maintain high level of independence and objectivity in undertaking audit work and reporting of audit findings to senior management and audit committee

Essential Job responsibilities:

- Establish relationships with business stakeholders within the Internal Audit function to meet the operational and analytics needs of the organization

- Increase effectiveness by performing whole population testing instead of random or judgmental sampling

- Identifies controls testing that can be automated through data analytics

- Develops and deploys reporting and analysis that is accurate, complete and properly summarized to aid in audit initiatives providing insights to the audit team. Responsible for extracting and summarizing data from SAP/S4HANA and other corporate surrounding systems.

- Has expert knowledge of SAP/S4HANA in memory / on premise database, tables, views and field usage.

- Has understanding of database architecture, data organization and data warehousing

- Understands business process, flow of data internally across various systems and platforms

- Experience of using / working on visualization tools (Power BI / Click view / Tableau) to enable insightful reporting on exceptions

- Develops a mechanism to provide required analytics to the internal audit field team within the specified SLA

- Ability to write / review scripts for analytics

- Creates library of scripts across various processes and keeps them updated considering the changes in the process / system / data

- Determines report and dashboard development and design. Tests reports and dashboards and ensures that they perform as expected.

- Enables continuous control monitoring over routine transactions and flags exceptions to the relevant stakeholders

- Ability to analyse large amounts of data and investigates and researches anomalies. Works with department and/or functional teams to remove false positives.

- Produces adhoc reporting as assigned

REQUIREMENT

Educational qualifications -

1. BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech (Electrical, Electronics, Metallurgy, Comp Sc, IT)

2. MCA/ (MBA in IT) / Chartered Accountant

3. Exposure to Data Analytics in the form of project experience of one semester or completion of two related courses as a part of the curriculum will be preferred.

Experience - 10 Yrs - 15 Yrs

Skills and Capabilities :

a. Exposure to manage a team of 3 - 4 IT Auditors (Managers and Sr. Managers levels) for providing Data Analytics support to the Auditors.

b. Familiarity with some or all of the following: SAS, ACL, Tableau, Alteryx, TOAD, SQL, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, R, Python required.

c. Ability to problem solve to determine root causes of anomalies

d. Ability to summarize large amounts of complex data into management reports

e. Experience of application of data analytics techniques and tools in a complex business environment, including the application of general statistical concepts against large volumes of data.

f. Understand and write reports using various software and tools

Purpose of Job :

The incumbent will be responsible for

a. Providing accurate, complete and meaningful reports and analysis used to supplement internal audits and continuous controls monitoring.

b. working closely with department and/or functional managers to determine report requirements, build reports/dashboards, and quality test them prior to distribution.

c. Providing direction to the Internal Audit team for data analytics methodology and strategy.
