The role: 1. We are looking for a talented Head of Content Operations to take full responsibility of our content marketing strategies including blogs and lead generation. You have to setup a vision of excellence and create a programmatic, automated to produce at scale while utilizing tools, vendors with a small in house team adept at executing your vision. The job would involve being extremely analytical in researching, sourcing, writing, and editing interesting content to be published for our partners and readers. You would need to produce 1 data driven report, and 20 articles per day. 2. Ultimately, you should be able to expand our company's digital footprint and brand awareness in a quantitative manner. You will be working with a team of writers, hence editorial governance is needed so content is consistent with our brand voice, style and tone. You would need to develop an SEO strategy, perform backlink analysis &amp; identify opportunities, stay current on emerging trends, prepare reports on our SEO performance, and collaborate across functions and silos. You should want to rip off content from existing sources, de-plagiarize it, and finding an extremely efficient factory of freelancer writers to humanize it. 3. The team is also developing a platform (think Duolingo) based on crowdsourcing content for new verticals. The idea is that it- ll scrape content from the internet (whether it be buying courses, transcribing YouTube content) to put together an outline for the content for a new vertical (e.g. Roofing) which will be then crowdsourced to incorporate any required changes by getting feedback from forums and Facebook groups with industry experts. You will have to contribute in de-plagiarizing the content that is scraped from the web for New Verticals. 4. This means delivering an effective content marketing strategy and editorial plan to meet the business objectives at the lowest possible cost. Other duties include identifying new content opportunities, exploring ways to repurpose existing content throughout the site, monitoring website traffic, manage content distribution to increase web traffic and implementing changes to the site's layout and content based on website analytics and usability testing. The skills: 1. This role requires an analytical and data driven mindset: create the content our audience is looking for and then to optimize the path to conversion. 2. It takes creativity, vendor research skills, a willingness to try new tools, leadership and of course, writing ability, to produce and publish good content. 3. The Head of Content Operations should have an editorial mindset that seeks to understand with an ability to predict audience preferences. 4. You need to have hands on experience with SEO, Google analytics, proficiency in New Media, and Backlink tools such as Ahrefs. You should have had experience with text generation, automation, and sourcing data and writers at scale. 5. By interpreting website analytics, the Head of Content Operations should better target, reach, and serve their audience. The Head of Content Operations should be able to working independently across functions to identify KPI s, develop dashboards, and interpret metrics to deliver sound, data driven recommendations.
