KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute business development strategy for Business Units - Sweet, Beverages and Savory, set and manage growth and profit targets with regular reviews to ensure the achievement of growth objectives
- Define together with Director, Sales on the annual Category Development Plan including annual sales budget for each category
- Develop and implement successful major market/technical growth initiatives
- Define together with sales the annual customer development plan, Maintain and further develop, together with Sales, an active network with key customers
- Monitor the achievement of each category and customer development plan and re-enforce the execution if necessary
- Analyse market, brand and customer dynamics in the given category to apply in-depth understanding of customer needs (B2B) and consumer trends (B2C) to selected reactive and proactive customer projects
- Manage major projects successfully in the matrix of SCI, Technical, Research & Technology, Operations and Sales to ensure that quality expectations and timelines are met.
- Identify and drive innovation pipeline across categories
- Manage and promote actively the portfolio to ensure optimal relevance and profitability
- Take complete responsibility for Consumer Insights and handle this directly
- Ensure that we build SCI as a strong competence area
QUALIFICATIONS :
Formal education :
Business degree or equivalent
Minimum prior work experience :
10 years with relevant experience from Food and/or Flavor industry, as Product manager, category manager, Business development manager, key account manager .
Special skills required :
- Strong financial business acumen
- Strong project management skills.
- Basic technical knowledge about categories
- Effective team player
- Ability to work in matrix organisation
- Effective presentation, negotiation and communication skills
- Willingness to travel
- Fluent in English and preferably another language
- Should have been in a similar role handling a team
- Strong exposure to marketing, brand management
- Strong exposure to consumer insights
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS :
- Categories - bakery, confectionery, dairy, HC & Nutrition, alcoholic, non-alcoholic and dry beverages, snack foods and culinary
