Head - Commercial Strategy ( Speciality Chemicals, Fine Chemical or Pharma Manufacturing sector CANDODATE PLEASE APPLY) The Role - As Head Commercial you are responsible for developing Procurement strategies, long lead items scheduling & planning, yearly contracts, monitoring inventories, effective utilization of working capital, logistics planning, vendor management and warehouse inventory management including supply chain management and project procurement (Capex) including custom clearance and inward logistics. Your commercial acumen enables cost optimisation vide effective procurement and efficient materials management. - You are also a key influencer in DCM-DO and effectively manage strategic as well as operational priorities by managing relationships with senior leadership as well as function / business heads (especially COO & PD PM Head) in the organisation COMMERCIAL OPERATIONS : PROCUREMENT ACTIVITIES: - To prepare & plan purchase budget for New Project & ongoing Operations - To design & implement effective procurement schedules, finalising specifications along with the project technical team & establishing quality & quantity limit - To plan material requirement, timely procurement and delivery to various sites. LOGISTICS - To execute complete logistics movement of raw materials, packaging materials, finished products, machinery-spares-consumables. - To interact with transporters & government agencies Director General of Foreign Trade, Excise & Customs on regular basis so as to ensure smooth and uninterrupted movement of materials, both inward & outward, by road, rail & sea. - Custom clearance for imported good & finalization of logistics contracts STORES & INVENTORY MANAGEMENT - To maintain optimum inventory of raw materials & packaging materials - To constantly monitor stock & inventory ensuring timely availability of materials for production CONTRACT MANAGEMENT. - To negotiate new customer supply agreements & renegotiate renewals of expiring existing agreements - To finalise of contracts ensuring all legal statutory requirements are incorporated in contract. - To co-ordinate with contractors for scheduling of contracts, bill processing based on progress of work & performance. COMMERCIAL STRATEGY--TECHNO COMMERCIAL ISSUES - To support Head-PD-PM & CEO in liaising with external entities for strategic land acquisition, technoeconomic feasibility reports as well as developing suitable business plans. - To help settle all techno commercial disputes during execution of project. Experience - 20 - 25 years of experience with minimum 5 years in a senior management position - Previous experience in Speciality Chemicals / Pharma Manufacturing sectors with function head responsibilities. Qualifications - Bachelor of Commerce or Science - Additional qualification in business management is preferred
