Role: Head / Sr Manager Commercial & Sales

- Help to close commercial agreements

- Do power transaction deals

- Do deal closures

- B/B selling power to consumers

Role:

- As Head/Senior Manager, you'll report to Head of Trading and Origination in India office and would be part of the team which is responsible for commercial activities and operations for the group's assets in India.

- The team's goal is to optimize assets revenues; grow, operate, and manage profitable portfolios of structured power transactions and develop business ideas which can be asset backed or risk capital backed.

- This role represents a unique opportunity for a candidate who understands the Indian power markets thoroughly, and proactively apply his/her commercial skills to optimize or create value for Statkraft asset and business portfolios.

- While the role requires relevant experience, it also provides a unique opportunity for learning and growth from commercial & business expertise in Global Energy Markets, including Europe where the Group has a market leading position in asset activities and power market operations.

- You will take commercial ownership of business ideas and be expected to define and work on commercial strategies that is in line with the company's growth strategy, and value principles.

- You are expected to have a deep understanding of the full energy market value chain to derive and execute profitable business ideas.

About the person:

- 10-15 years in a commercial role in the power sector, heavily weighted towards transaction closures in the B2B segment.

- Demonstrated ability towards ideation, deal-making, sales, business development, and people leadership responsibilities.

- Strong expertise and experience of power trading in Indian market

- Demonstrated and strong quantitative/analytical skills to identify market trends, inefficiencies and opportunities which arise through market design or regulatory changes. Sound understanding of the fundamental market drivers of power and energy space.

- Academic background with university degree, preferably at master level, in mathematics, economics, finance or engineering (or any other quantitative study - engineering/pure-sciences/econometrics etc.).

- Excellent Communication (both, written & verbal) and presentation skills.
