Head - Commercial - Construction Business

Our client is one of India's leading construction & contracting company looking to hire a candidate to lead the commercial and risk function.

Job Responsibilities : 

- The role entails establishing the framework, governance, policies and procedures for Contracts and Sub Contracts, Procurement, Legal and Risk Management.

- The role is responsible for planning & monitoring of commercial aspects of pre-contracts and project delivery, identification, valuation and advisory support to project teams with respect to commercial risks & opportunities.

- Will be responsible for monitoring and tracking project cash flows and leading commercial discussions/negotiations with clients, sub-contractors and suppliers with the objective of minimising financial cost, maximising financial recovery and limiting contractual and commercial exposure to dispute.

Candidate Profile : 

- Years of experience : 20+ years with 3-5 years of experience in managing the commercial department of projects of similar size/complexity.

- Qualification : Degree in Quantitative Surveying or related area/ MRICS.

- Arbitration Experience will be an added advantage.

- Must have knowledge of construction industry.

- Should have knowledge of legal aspects relevant to contracting.

- Must be process oriented with planning and time management skills.
