Head Buying and merchandising

- Owning end to end buying and merchandising responsibilities. Creating new orders based on the plan, meeting with vendors, reviewing quality of goods.

- Meeting with vendors/suppliers and building the right set of pipeline of material/goods as per season, category plan. Placing and tracking orders for on-time delivery.

- Reviewing garment samples at different stages (eg.- development, proto, pre-production,
production sample), trims & accessories, fabric swatches, fabric hanger from vendors. Review if
the sample sizes, colors and designs are as per the designs approved.

- Execute the running production orders in collaboration with the business operations team or outsourced vendor team to ensure timely delivery.

- Price negotiation and finalization both with the buying and sourcing team to enable right pricing and margins. In short, selection of vendors with the highest profit margin and best quality.

- Review inventory and work closely with the planning team to liquidate inventory. Be a co-owner for inventory management along with the Business Operations and Planning team.

- Updating and reviewing the Time and Action calendar on a regular basis.

Category Management :

- Making a progress report based on every category and driving the P&L target - and target based growth for every category.

- Handling of quality issues with the help of the technical team both for sample and production.

- Making sure the customer is satisfied with the final finished product
