Head - Business Transformation & Analytics - Building Material

A leading business house in Kolkata is looking for a Head of Transformation & Business Analytics for their corporate office in Kolkata:

- Should be a premier B-School MBA with 8+ years of experience in handling clients across domain and helping them in growth strategy & transformational projects.

- The role is to lead large scale strategy and transformation initiatives, Key initiatives include driving operational efficiency, process improvements across business units as well as portfolio companies, managing change management for organization wide up-skilling drives, and overall transformation program office.

- Primary responsibilities include spearheading selected tracks right from ideation stage to implementation and sustainability stage, managing internal analytics team and external consultants, and ensuring adherence to governance framework.

- Responsible for Transformation office setup, design and implementation through rigorous weekly governance forums with CXOs and business heads

- The role also encompasses leading team of analysts on various assignments including market entry and growth strategy, market & opportunity assessment, acquisition target and strategic partner identification/selection, M&A due diligence, make or buy decision support and sourcing strategy development.

Key Roles & Responsibilities :

Performance Tracking & Reporting :

- Understand the expectations of senior leadership teams in terms of key metrics and business processes to review, their frequency and cadence

- Work with functional teams to design the right set of performance dashboards for reporting of business performance metrics

- For the identified metrics and dashboards, ensure the that transformation team builds the relevant data architecture and governance processes at functional level that allows for continuous and automatic updates

- Socialize dashboards and key insights with senior leadership teams, brief them before key reviews and prioritize business meetings for them based on dashboard indicators

- Ensure the transformation team creates executive visualizations of dashboards for senior leadership and work with IT / MIS to ensure deployment on laptop/ mobile devices

Continuous Business Improvement :

- Translate business problems into analytics use cases (e.g. Plant OEE improvement, Pricing Analytics, Network Optimization)

- Supervise team to conduct detailed data analytics to drive analytical use cases for continuous business performance improvement

- Formulate and define continuous improvement initiatives basis insights from data analytics in coordination with functional owners

- Present business implications of initiatives to functional owners and work closely with functional teams to drive implementation of initiatives

Governance & Review Cadence :

- Define and follow a structured review cadence (weekly) with functional teams to discuss performance gaps and identify actions to drive improvement

- Ensure regular update meetings with senior leadership to update on business performance across key metrics & status of key initiatives across analytical use cases
