Head - Business Strategy & Organic Growth (Large Industrial Conglomerate)

Responsible for identifying, developing, and driving business level strategies that create opportunities for revenue and market share growth. The role will focus on the development of new market initiatives through research, analysis, and presentation of financial/analytical modeling. Support for M&A, Business Development, and other corporate initiatives in line with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist to develop strategic and business plans and road maps for growth.

- Formulate growth strategy options for the businesses by analyzing global trends tracking competitors' business models and their future.

- Mapping competitive landscape.

- Assist in developing valuation models capturing and analyzing key assumptions to arrive at the target initial value.

- Conduct due diligence on the financial commercial and management aspects on the target company by identifying inconsistent areas in the past developing workable options and coordinating with various corporate functions.

- Identify new business opportunities and evaluate the strategic fit into the Groups portfolio.

- Maintain current knowledge of developments, trends, competitive environment.

- Identify, recommend, negotiate, structure, and manage strategic projects of potential for achieving business targets.

- Research and strategic insights.

- Work with business, evaluate and conduct complex financial and risk analyses of business opportunities.

- Support effective organization, management, and completion of due diligence projects.

- Assist in formulating the company's future direction through providing input on the company's business plan, financial and tax strategies, budgeting, and forecasting.

- Monitor all open legal issues involving the company, and legal issues affecting the industry; ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements.

- Represent overall finance function for the business with Leadership Team. Serve as single point of contact for all commercial finance topics between business teams and other stakeholders. The position will work with the Business Head to drive business goals and decisions.

Qualification And Experience:

1. CA & CWA & CS or BE & MBA Finance from a Premier Institute with solid work experience of Minimum 15 Plus Years with a Large Industrial Conglomerate & the Portfolio Size Managed is not Less than Rs. 10K Crores. In addition, you should have prior in-house strategy experience with a proven track record as a people leader.

2. You need to be both pragmatic and strategic to influence the required business changes. High level of maturity is expected while you should be a versatile individual working in a complicated organizational structure.

3. Proven ability to work across large matrixed organizations and to interact/communication effectively with senior leadership.

4. Demonstrated ability to develop deep, rigorous, analytical analyses that drive growth opportunity identification, space/company assessments and strategy development.

5. Demonstrated experience with financial models, financial analysis and market analysis.

6. Demonstrated experience leading and analyzing primary and secondary market research.

7. Demonstrated ability to lead complex cross-functional or cross-country initiatives through influence and collaboration.

8. Demonstrated ability to independently identify, prioritize and successfully advocate for opportunities to drive growth or improve operating performance.

9. Demonstrated ability to both lead and be part of high-performing teams.

10. Excellent communication, interpersonal and persuasion skills.

11. Demonstrated ability to earn credibility with senior leadership around quality of work product and soundness of recommendations.

12. Ability to use sound, independent reasoning and judgment to establish work priorities and be flexible to respond to constantly changing priorities and shifting deadlines in a fast-paced working environment.
