Head - Business Line - Dispensing Business Unit

Summary:

The Business Line Leader, reporting to General Manager Dispensing Asia, will own the P&L for this business line and will define and execute a strategy to grow this business and expand margins in India. This leader will develop a high performance team capable of understanding the market, the needs of customers, the operations, the competitive pressures and ultimately what it takes to win in this space.

Objective :

- Profitable Growth of the Dispensing BU in India.

General Functions and Tasks :

- Manages the activities of the Dispensing BU in India to ensure its profitable operation

- Liaises with the Asia Dispensing GM and the VP India & ME Operations on the attainment of budgets, schedules and target objectives.

- Attends to Corporate legal, public relations, employee relations, financial and accounting matters, ensuring compliance with the company's structure and objectives.

- Maintains appropriate communications within and between the various functional areas of Asia Dispensing BU and COMPANY India and arranges Asia Dispensing BU/COMPANY India counsel as required.

- Participates, as appropriate, in the development of long and short range plans for Asia Dispensing India (ie STRAP).

- Assesses present and future needs, trends, problems and profit opportunities.

- Reviews and appraises the results of activities and ensures appropriate action is taken to resolve unsatisfactory conditions.

- Controls operations and management of some or all of supplies, production, marketing, finance, sales, distribution, personnel, technical and administrative functions as they apply to Dispensing BU activities in India.

- Represents the Asia Dispensing BU in its relationships with major customers and channel partners in India.

- Approves and reviews key staff appointments and implements measures to evaluate performance.

Relationship and Authority :

- Reports directly to the Dispensing BU GM with dotted line reporting to the VP COMPANY India & ME Operations.

- Operates with a high degree of autonomy in accordance with clearly established policy and procedures.

- Exercises line responsibility over Managers and Staff within the Asia Dispensing Org located in India.

Qualifications and Experience :

- Tertiary qualifications in an appropriate discipline (i.e. Management/MBA/Engineering) along with at least 5 years acquired business knowledge in India.
