Job Description of Head - BI &amp; Analytics - Custodian for Organisational data - drive for single source of truth and automation - Creation and management of advanced dashboards, interactive data visualization for descriptive and diagnostic analysis to draw valuable business insights - Set the advanced analytics agenda and develop predictive and prescriptive analytics solutions - Design, set up and run the architectural backbone for enabling the BI and analytics solutions She (he) would be a strong techno - functional person with in-depth experience of BI/Analytics technologies, have deep functional appreciation and is orientated to business outcomes. Roles &amp; Responsibilities - Collaborative engagement with business functions to obtain, document and analyze Reporting needs and requirements - Translate the reporting needs into reports and dashboards. Design interactive dashboards with advanced visualization that facilitates intuitive, proactive decision making - Continuous review of reports and dashboards and identify opportunities for improvements aimed at minimizing redundant reporting - Design and implement data automation plan to achieve single source of truth where possible and ensure data quality, accuracy and error minimization - Define the advanced analytics roadmap in consultation with business functions and implement in a time bound manner - Lead cross-functional projects using advanced data modeling and analysis techniques to discover insights that will guide strategic decisions. - Manage and optimize processes for data intake, validation, mining and engineering as well as modeling, visualization and communication deliverables. - Define the data architecture, data models, constituent technical components and implement as per time and cost plan. - Develop and implement quality controls and departmental standards to ensure quality standards - Define team structure (inhouse &amp; external mix). Recruit, train, develop and supervise analyst level employees. Identify, develop and work with external agencies as per the plan - Engage with other group companies for leading practices sharing and learning in BI &amp; Analytics - Anticipate future demands of initiatives related to people, technology, budget and business for the department and design/implement solutions to meet the needs Positional Requirements - Ability to comprehend business needs, convert them into BRD / FSD s, develop implementation roadmap and execute on time. - Experience in working with large datasets, derive insights and present information through visualization and reports. - In-depth understanding of the ETL process &amp; best practices - Understanding of and experience in using analytical concepts and statistical techniques: hypothesis development, designing tests/experiments, analyzing data, drawing conclusions, and developing actionable recommendations for business units. - Experience and knowledge of statistical modeling techniques: GLM multiple regression, logistic regression, log-linear regression, variable selection, etc. - Working knowledge of data mining principles: predictive analytics, mapping, collecting data from multiple data systems on premises and cloud-based data sources. - Strong problem solving, quantitative and analytical abilities. - Ability to plan and manage people and projects simultaneously. - Excellent communication, collaboration skills to engage successfully with peers, senior executives and external agencies to deliver the role successfully Background and Experience: Exp: 12 - 15 Years - Degree in Computer Science or related discipline - Background in statistics and business/data modeling - 10-12 years work experience. At least last 2 years working in an Analytics lead role - Demonstrated experience in design, develop and maintain of BI reports and dashboards - Demonstrated experience of design, develop and implement analytics solutions and delivering tangible business outcomes - Hands on experience in using different DBMS (SQL Server, Oracle, MSQL &amp; Access). - Hands-on experience in Power-BI, Tableau and SAS - Experience on Big Data toolsets - Teradata, Hadoop, Clouderra - Knowledge of Programming languages like Python, R, etc.
