BUSINESS UNIT - Capital Markets

REPORTING TO City MD + BL MD

SUMMARY: Capital Markets is seeking a Director level professional, to be based in Mumbai. As the leader of the regional business team, the person will have P&L responsibilities.

- The core responsibilities include the education of investors seeking to enter the market, focus on West India market and leading a team of Agents.

- The candidate will have strong financial and analytical skills, be able to quickly develop a strong understanding of the Indian real estate market, together with being familiar with the issues and processes relating to real estate investment across India.

- The candidate will ideally have experience in India, be strongly self-motivated and have the ability to work on assignments from the early advisory stages through to execution, and utilising the resources of company along the way. Strong relationships with Developers and Investors in Mumbai + Pune is a pre-requisite.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES -

- Business Development - Proactively engage in business development activities through networking, industry seminars, leveraging the existing relationships of other business units. Particularly focusing on large scale institutional owners, corporates and purchasers each of the core markets, with a specialised focus on India. Additional focus on developing and building capability in indirect real estate products (funds, securitisation, REITS etc.) Manage the preparation of marketing materials such as presentations, proposals etc. Develop and execute parallel strategies for business development within the core services of the Indian Capital markets team, working alongside other directors in the group.

- Capital Markets Transaction Management - Lead advisory and investment services to effectively conclude major transactions - predominantly focusing on the Indian market. This includes the management and involvement in teams that will prepare of information memorandums, financial analysis, analytical and market intelligence. Ensure timely and accuracy of deliverables such as timelines, cash flows, presentations and approvals. Senior level client and account management on key transactions will be required.

- Advisory Assignments - The Capital Markets team provides standalone fee generating advisory services in the following areas:

a) Investment Advisory: Including lease versus buy analysis, off balance sheet (REIT) strategies, regional asset allocation and market entry strategy advice.

It is envisaged that the candidate will play a leading role in advisory assignments, particularly those involving REITS and other indirect products in India.

GENERAL - Candidate will be required to travel during the course of business for Business Development and project specific purposes.

- Performance Measurement - The Capital markets team is measured largely on its standalone financial performance, together with its contribution (direct or indirect) to the wider company regional offices. It is envisaged that the candidate will be similarly measured against financial contribution to the company team in the medium to longer term.

Remuneration Structure - Candidate will be remunerated on a base salary plus Commissions as applicable.
