Head of Business Development (Automotive Domain ONLY)
Job Role : Primary role is to play a key role in Business growth. Builds key customer relationship, identify new Potential Business/ Customer, Negotiates and closes Business Deals.
Principal Accountabilities :
- Develop quotes and proposals for new or existing Clients/ Customers
- The strategic focus on the market segment of various BUs
- Establishing and developing relationships and activities that increase company's new business opportunities in quantity, quality and magnitude.
- Generate new ideas and solutions liaising with customers, BUs, Plants and Company Leadership
- Working closely with BU Heads/ Plant Heads/ Technical resources to ensure timely completion of Business Development initiatives in support of Business Growth Strategies and develop opportunities into routine sales.
- Create and maintain up-to-date market, sales and financial forecasts to support reporting and assessment of business activities.
- Create and implement a networking strategy that will support the generation of new sales opportunities.
- Identify and recommend or participate in relevant conferences, business & technical seminars, trade meetings, etc. to make new contacts and identify new business development opportunities.
- Develop market information including competing products, technologies and companies, market size, growth, profitability, product costs, product specifications, and customer needs, etc.
- Sales Budget preparation and releasing three to five years rolling plan.
- Maintain SOB's (Share of Business) in existing Business.
- Raw Material Price monitoring and P.O amendments as per agreed terms with Customers
- Organizing Technical meetings and New Project reviews, to ensure on time deliveries.
- RFQ Generation, Costing, estimation, Pricing decision and Business Case Proposals. Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives.
- Create a Researching organizations and individuals to find new opportunities.
- Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events.
- Developing goals for the team and business growth and ensuring they are met.
- Training personnel and helping team members develop their skills.
