Job Title Head of Asset Management - Islamic Banking

Reporting to Head - Islamic Banking

Reported by All Department staff

Main Role (Overall Accountability)

Responsible for the development and management of the Asset Management business in a highly professional manner.

Principal Accountabilities

- Carry out the vision laid out for the Asset Management Department as regional market leader

- Develop strategy and effective execution plan for the business

- Launch new funds/ products under Meethaq Islamic banking umbrella

- Lay down policies and procedures for managing the funds and portfolios

- Monitoring the performance of the funds and portfolios

- Ensure proper systems and process for running the activities of the unit.

- Management of the Unit's day-to-day activities.

- Establishing and maintaining Asset Management relationships.

- To facilitate operational areas to perform the highest level of efficiency and undertake problem solving exercises when needed.

- Prepare the Budget for the year.

Personnel Specifications

- Formal Post Graduate qualification and a professional qualification such as CA / CFA.

- 10+ years industry experience

- Exposure to Regional Asset Management Industry.

- Good communication skills

- Good leadership / interpersonal relations.

- Ability to work under pressure.
