GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION :

Drone and satellite technology are big enablers in precision farming. This often occurs when drones take high-quality images while satellites capture the bigger picture. This role leads a team that uses imaging technology that can create contour maps to track where water flows, determine variable-rate seeding, and create yield maps of areas that were more or less productive and aid decision making for farmers through timely and precise inputs around sowing, nutrient management and potential pest damage.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Farm Mapping: Monitoring farms through satellite imagery and generating farm level cropping pattern, irrigation, soil, weather, harvest, and financial data.

- Farmer geo-tagging and advisories: Provide a platform for farmers to connect with farm coordinates to seek customized advisories and relevant market offers. Enable us to provide a bouquet of advisories to farmers about weather changes, farm health, soil planning, irrigation, and relevant products.

Success Measures :

- Phase wise roll out of Drone and Satellite imaging-based and ML-enabled advisory service
