Head - Air Product

Key Responsibilities :

- Support the implementation of the airfreight product strategy

- Facilitate airfreight product development by supplementing area-specific product features as well as by providing recommendations of new products which will benefit the company

- Identifies new opportunities to develop our airfreight product.

- Support the marketing and the communication of the airfreight product offering across the area.

- Lead pricing activity and control within its area

- Identify the market trends, potential and customer needs, expand and explore new market opportunities.

- Budgets for the Air Freight Product.

- Have a personal target of key accounts.

- Identify and analyze target markets and clients within the specified area or customer group.

- Set objectives per product in tune with the goals of the organization.

- Develop a sales plan including inputs from network development.

- Develop a sales forecast vis-vis market changes w.r.t. Budgets & achievement of the same.

Airfreight Product :

- To effectively establish Air products/ services on focused trade lanes.

- Regular Air Freight partner analysis and developing joint strategies for trade level development.

- MIS report on volumes and GPs to be provided to management on a monthly basis and analysis of the same vis-vis market & budgets.

- To create a live import & export MSPs & rate sheet for Sea-Air and local generated Air cargo. Develop & Strengthen Relationships with Carriers & leverage the same to the Benefits of the Organization.

- Maintain service standards on sea-air shipments. To have zero claims due to negligence of cargo handling while receiving or delivering cargo.

- To ensure equipment is well maintained and serviced and downtime is minimal. To have a minimum of 4 DGR certified people at any point of time.

Import & Export :

- Target markets, identify decision makers and conclude business/contracts accordingly. Monitor and manage the performance and effectiveness of concluded contracts.

- Set SLAs for import and export operations. Assist in the compilation of rates and costs for Global or Key Accounts bids that we may be called to make for Exports as well as Imports.

Product Development :

- Target current and potential customers in order to translate needs for specialized products and services and realize new business on that basis. Test product feasibility and financial viability in development phase by consulting with relevant internal parties.

- Ensure accurate market feedback and profitable pricing of the product / service. Be involved with further development and execution of the product/service.
