Head of Accounts - Job Description

Position Summary:

As the Head of Accounts, you will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring accurate accounting practices, and providing strategic financial guidance. Your expertise in plant accounting, corporate accounting, and global financial management will be crucial in driving our success.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Plant Accounting:

- Manage all financial aspects related to the Ahmedabad plant.

- Oversee cost accounting, inventory valuation, and production-related financial processes.

- Collaborate with plant managers to ensure accurate financial reporting.

- Monitor plant expenses, analyze variances, and recommend cost-saving measures.

2. Corporate Accounting:

- Lead corporate financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.

- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.

- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to consolidate financial data.

- Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations.

3. Global Accounting:

- Develop and implement global accounting policies and procedures.

- Monitor financial performance across international subsidiaries.

- Handle foreign currency transactions, hedging, and transfer pricing.

- Collaborate with regional finance teams to streamline processes.

4. Financial Leadership:

- Provide strategic financial insights to senior management and the product line head office.

- Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.

- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization.

- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

5. Compliance and Audit:

- Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies.

- Ensure compliance with tax laws, SEC regulations, and other legal requirements.

- Implement internal controls and risk management practices.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

- Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in accounting, including exposure to plant, corporate, and global accounting.

- CPA or equivalent professional certification preferred.

- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and international accounting standards.

- Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.

Compensation:

- Competitive salary ranging from 25Lpa and above, commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Location:

- Ahmedabad, India (with occasional travel to the US headquarters if required).
