HDFC Life - Manager - Risk Management - Financial Risk

Responsibilities

1. Understand investment portfolio from risk perspective to identify, monitor and control firms exposure to risk, analysis the portfolio risk drivers, fund performance of ULIP products (asset side)

2. Become familiar with insurance products as well as cash outflows on insurance products based on actuarial assumptions (liability side)

3. Understand and implement financial derivatives for asset liability portfolio management, whether hedging techniques are fulfilling the objective of ALM.

4. Measuring and monitoring risks in interest risk derivatives.

5. Develop and reform internal asset liability management model on a dynamic basis

6. Performing scenario analysis and stress testing of portfolio against real world scenarios as well as dynamic tailor-made scenarios

7. Provide insights to the internal risk and asset liability councils and committees

Required experience and qualification

1. Engineer/MBA/Chartered Accountant

2. Passed any two of the actuary exams from CM1, CM2, CS1, CS2, SP5 or SP6

3. 4-6 years of experience in Financial services industry (banks, insurance) in the relevant profile

4. Hands on experience and conceptually sound with the financial & derivative products

5. Ability to do analysis and work with large data

6. Creation and usage of VBA/Excel Macros/R/Python
