HDFC Bank - Unit Head - Corporate Internet Banking - Retail Business Technology Group

To provide a one stop shop for all business, process requirements from Corporate Internet Banking applications. This position interfaces between business, technology and IT vendors for developing IT solutions for business needs.

The role manages team of Functional analysts, Technical analysts and Domain experts to handle Programmes, Projects, Enhancements, Errors ( SFRs), Consulting needs related to systems and business areas being managed. Key objectives are :

- To provide technology solutions for business/operations/ requirements

Project Management: For key Projects :

- Manage the entire project life cycle, from concept to implementation for the verticals / applications assigned.

- Project review meeting and tracking progress

- Take necessary actions and timely escalations as needed

- Implementation

- Working and planning various interfaces/integration requirements in the enhancements

- Monitor and review System errors and their management

- Participate in Business and Technology Strategies and Planning to ensure both are aligned and IT applications deliver business needs.

- Interact with technology partners to develop solutions, evaluate off the shelf technology applications and provide domain inputs in developing solutions.

- Be Consultants to Business on impact on account of technology projects .

- Manage Complete functional Testing for technology projects, including testing documentation for Projects, Enhancements and SFRs

- Participate in discussions and provide inputs on features, operational aspects, directions during solutioning of requirements for complex and strategic items

- Participate in Steering Committee Meetings for large projects to update Senior Management

- Funding approval Tracking

- Manage / Review Liaison with DBA/OS support team and other technical team

- Consult and guide Business for Funding Proposal Notes - Business Justifications and arrange for FPN initiation.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS (Education, technical/ behavioral skills, Experience) :

- MCA/ MBA/ BE/ MSc/B Tech or BSc IT/Graduation with 2 years full time Diploma at NIIT or APTECH, CAIIB or similar

- 12-15 years of experience, in execution, strategic and planning across

- BFS domain areas - Retail / Corporate / Net Banking, Remittance, Payments, Advances, Credit & Debit Cards, POS Imaging, Document Management / Workflow, AML, Depository / Custody, Retail asset, Collection, Business Banking etc.

Technical domain expertise across :

- RDBMS - Oracle, Sybase, PL/SQL

- OS - Windows 2003 server, SUN Solari Unix or any flavor of unix

- Development Technologies like D2K/ JAVA/ VB / J2EE

Hardware Platforms : IBM/SUN/HP

- Exposure to Project Management Tools - MS-Project Server

- Project Management methodologies, SDLC (Planning, Feasibility Study, Requirements Analysis, Technical Architecture

JOB MAGNITUDE :

- 5-10 Applications pertaining to the function managed

- Team Size of approx 20 with 4-6 direct reportees.
