Job Responsibilities -
Advancing digital innovations in all different customer journeys of Pay - Save - Invest - Insure - Contribute and participate in strategy and roadmap that will position HDFC Bank with best-in-class Digital Banks
- Through Research and Competition benchmarking evaluate and identify global best practices in digital technology enablement in banking domain in all different areas of banking in customer lifecycle of Pay, Save, Invest and Insure and check the feasibility of launching it in HDFC Bank
- Create innovative digital solutions from scratch involving different products, vendors and fintech firms
Exploring New-age and Emerging Technologies like IOT, AI, AR, VR, Robotics, Blockchain and its specific applications in different areas of banking - Spot, Conceptualize and Build innovative solutions and platforms involving cutting edge technologies like AI, Blockchain, AR, IOT etc
- Work with NPCI and RBI to get their approval/direction of implementation of new age technology wherever required
- Spot, Collaborate and design solutions in partnership with product firms and Fintech firms for innovative use of emerging technologies in all different products and verticals of the bank
Collaboration, Partnerships & Alliances - Establish channels to tap the innovations at the early stage by tying up with start-ups
- Work with group companies and innovate by collaboration
Advancing HDFC Bank's digital innovation in mobility space. Strategize and manage mobile innovations roadmap to support the team's overall goals and objectives
- Undertake competition benchmarking exercise to compile and evaluate practices being undertaken by key competitors
- Evaluate global best practices in the mobile banking domain and check the feasibility of launching it in HDFC Bank
- New concepts & Ideas- Drive strategic innovation to generate new concepts, analyze them for feasibility and business impact and lead implementation of ideas
- Closely evangelize the concept with the product teams on the business side who will eventually manage the respective projects
- Explore new concepts and businesses that can be launched through mobility and other digital channels
Project Execution - Formalize and manage the execution of innovation projects/POCs End to end - Take the innovation projects through Ideation, Concept, Business Case, PoC, Pilot and rollout
- Identify, measure and evaluate success criteria
- Create and manage the project execution pipeline to ensure go-live of critical projects aimed at maximizing revenue generation or cost savings generation through the respective projects
- Lead co-ordination of entire SDLC of the project to ensure successful completion of projects as per project plan and timelines from Concept initiation, Requirement Gathering, CN, Sign off for FSD, BRD, Designs/UI & Development
Internal Stakeholder Management - Ensure internal collaboration within HDFC Bank, along with the adherence to all laid down processes by Audit, legal, compliance and ISG
- Manage overall relationships with internal stakeholders including the Product teams, BTG, IT, ISG, Marketing, Phone banking, etc. for efficient conceptualization and execution of the Innovation projects.
- Ensure overall concurrence of audit, ISG, compliance teams to new ideas/products
Educational Qualifications Key Skills
- MBA/Post Grad from reputed institutes
- Technology / Engineering background preferred
- Very good understanding of banking products and channels
- Very good hands on understanding of digital technology impact in banking
- Exposure to digital channels, payment methods
- Experience to lead innovation from scratch through concept to PoC to execution
- Good understanding of new age digital technologies like AI, mobile payments, Blockchain etc
- Experience in conceptualizing and releasing successful products in mobility domain
- Curiosity and Open thought process
- Able to work in a completely unstructured environment
- Prepared to experiment with new areas through continuous learning and research
Experience Required :
- Exposure to BFSI products and channels as part of a bank's product team, digital innovation or transformation team or Fintech enterprises
