Job Description:
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including but not limited to:
- Finalization of financial statements
- Month and Year end closing and reporting
- Taxation - Direct / Indirect taxes
- Accounts payable/receivable
- Cash receipts, Treasury
- Fixed Asset accounting
- Cash forecasting
- Revenue and expenditure variance analysis
- Trust account statement reconciliations
- All Tax, legal and statutory compliances
- Maintain complete, accurate and timely accounting records, financial and statutory information for the business in accordance with Indian GAAP
- Ensure timeliness, accuracy and completeness of financial and management reporting
- Assist in Budget preparation, Rolling Forecasts, Variance Analysis
- MIS
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures
- Maintain strong internal controls
- Mentor and develop the local finance teams, managing work allocation, training, problem resolution
Qualification(s)
- CA / CWA / MBA-Finance / CPA
- Preferably a CA but other professional qualification with relevant experience / exposure can also be considered
Experience
- Over 10 years of experience preferably in manufacturing industry with progressive growth record
Functional Competencies
- Plant accounting exposure having knowledge of Indian GAAP and taxation
- Exposure to SSC environment
- SAP experience
- Hands on experience in Reporting and analysis of Client performance measures and external benchmarks
- Experience in using databases & MIS reporting tools
- Advance level of proficiency in MS-Office (Excel, Access & Word, Power Point) & including macros
- Must be detail oriented and focused on accuracy and have good documentation skills
