RESPONSIBILITIES OF A COPYWRITER :

- Working closely with the art director to generate creative ideas and concepts to fulfil the client's brief

- Working on several campaigns at once, sometimes under pressure and often to tight deadlines

- Liaising with clients and interpreting their briefs

- Going beyond the brief to think of ideas proactively

- Gaining an understanding of the target audience and business that the communication is aimed at

- Writing clear, persuasive, original copy and proofreading it to check spelling and grammar

- Meeting with the creative director and account managers before presenting ideas to clients

- Pitching and presenting ideas to clients

- Overseeing campaigns through the production stage to completion

- Amending, revising or redeveloping adverts or campaigns in response to feedback from the creative director, account team or clients

- Briefing other members of the creative team

- Updating digital media

- Working on location

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS :

- The consistent ability to produce and communicate fresh ideas thought through logic, creativity and imagination

- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work and multi-task

- Team working skills

- The capacity to deal with stress and work well under pressure in order to meet tight deadlines

- To keep up to date with new developments in the media

- An integrated and creative approach to the media and how the media can be used in advertising

- An understanding of the advertising process

- A high level of English language skills to ensure correct sentence structure, word choice, and so on with particular attention to grammar, punctuation and spelling

- Scriptwriting editing and proofreading capabilities and a wide vocabulary

- The ability to create easy to comprehend copy and content in a variety of styles

- The resilience to accept criticism of work
