Job Description

Networks PMG (Senior Resource)

1. Should be well-versed with the RFP process and be able to elaborate on the solution, highlight differentiators of the organization and talk technology to senior IT folks. Should be well-versed with latest developments in the networking industry

2. Direct customer facing role such as pre-sales or product marketing or Network Technical Project Manager required.

3. Minimum 8 Years of Domain Experience.

4. Excellent knowledge of:

- Data Center LAN technologies and platforms

- TCP/IP protocol suite

- Application protocols - HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, SMTP, SNMP, SSL etc.

- Wireless Networking Technologies, Wireless LAN security

- Voice over IP and other Converged Network Technologies

- Video over IP (desired not necessary)

- Routing Protocols OSPF, EIGRP, BGP

- SwitchingL2 and L3 LAN switching technologies, VLANs, IEEE802.1Q Trunking, EtherChannel

- DHCP and DNS Architecture

5. In depth understanding of Networking OEM’s product lines and the differences in their offerings including –

a. Cisco

b. Juniper

c. Avaya

d. HP

e. Brocade (LAN only)

f. Polycom and Tandberg (desired not necessary)

6. Excellent communication skills –

a. Must be able to clearly interact with Business and Technical decision makers.

b. Must be able to present solutions across different audiences

c. Must be able to present ideas in a coherent and concise manner in discussions with SMEs

7. CCNA Certification Required. CCDA preferred. CCIP or CCNP or CCVP considered an additional qualification.

8. Adept in the Microsoft Office suite especially Word, Excel and Power Point
