HCL Lanka - Head - Human Resources (Local Srilankan Citizen)


- Oversee timely & efficient on boarding & transfers of employees in the geography in compliance with the local regulatory norms

- Step in for resolving escalations and legal issues, as and when required

- Supervise participation in internal / external audits (manpower audit, etc.); Provide information requested by auditors and respond to audit queries as and when required; Provide inputs for action planning based on the audit findings; Drive execution of action plans to ensure closure of non-compliances

- Provide inputs on trainings for managers and internal stakeholder on various compliance related aspects

- Guide team to understand legally mandated benefits within the region and oversee introduction of the same within the Geo; Oversee benefits administration for the onsite employees like health insurance, leave administration, retirements etc.; Review reports on mapping of benefits to employees for the DUs and share the same with relevant stakeholders

- Monitor implementation of PMS process in the Geo within the timelines specified by the CoE and provide the geography inputs on performance ratings to the LoB HR

- Oversee delivery of trainings in the geography including mandatory trainings for various regions / countries

- Oversee rollout of corporate initiatives in geography like performance appraisal tools, etc.

- Oversee exit management including separation formalities, separation interviews, etc. in compliance with local regulations

- Understand the HCL business and people strategy and derive the HR implications for the geography

- Brainstorm with the Geo team and LoB HR Leads to create an HR plan for the geography (with focus on LoB specific requirements, large accounts, GDC, entity creation), covering multiple aspects of people management - talent acquisition and capacity planning for local hires, talent management, talent retention, etc

- Review progress against the agreed annual plan including the departmental (Geo HR) goals on a periodic basis, and take suitable actions

- Oversee fulfilment of positions through external channels (direct / partners / referrals) and internal movements / reskilling / bench / IJPs in line with the business demand and manpower plan and within optimum costs and timelines, by continuous interaction with business and LoB HR Leaders / LoB TSC Leaders within the Geo

- Oversee fulfilment of all positions through relevant channels for sales and leadership roles

- Oversee the design and deployment of HCL''s talent branding strategy within the Geo

- Resolve / drive closure of escalated issues on fulfilment / billing loss

- Review reports on attrition, utilization, average resource cost and other relevant metrics for onsite employees and assess its impact on business

- Identify and suggest options for cost optimization for onsite employees within the regulatory limits
