Havells - Technical Project Manager

- As a project manager, you will collaborate with colleagues from Business, Sales, Solution Architects and Engineers across teams to build and enhance the software development capabilities of organization

- Should have good understanding of software development processes, program level productivity metrics, technologies, and industry best practices

- Should have good technical expertise on UI/UX, mobile/frontend/voice apps, backend, data engineering, data science, DevOps, IT operations & quality assurance

- Should be capable of handling multiple priorities, should be action oriented, learn new technology topics and understand impact on end users.

- Should understand system level architecture to appreciate cross team work items and their impact on program progress

- To succeed in this role, you should be a decisive and driven individual who takes a proactive approach to business issues, planning project requirements with project stakeholders and take projects through the entire project life cycle.

- Should have excellent communication skills including ability to listen to the needs of others and comprehend complex matters, articulate issues in a clear and concise manner, and present effectively in both oral and written presentations to all levels in the organization.

Key Responsibilities :

- Plan and lead execution of cross-functional programs as per technical/business roadmap that involve multiple teams within the organization or external. Evolve timelines for launches, make priority trade-offs, unblock cross team dependencies and drive delivers as per timelines working with respective stakeholders

- Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, storyboards, surveys, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, event lists, business analysis, competitive product analysis, task, and workflow analysis and/or viewpoints. Use all the inputs to decide project scope.

- Create alignment, co-ordinate with diverse set of stakeholders including but not limited to engineering leads, product managers, business leaders, architects & service teams

- Establish project management practices and processes, setup project tracking mechanism

- Manage projects scope to prevent undue changes, yet responding to changing market needs

- Manage communications to facilitate cross team communications and resolve dependencies

- Do program level risk assessment for technical, business, delivery, quality, contract related risks and plan for mitigation

- Define metrics for measuring program progress and track program using those metrics

- Draft executive reports that provide insight into program progress and circulate among teams

- Prepare reports & dashboards to assess and showcase program level progress, risks, roadmaps and achievements to stakeholders

- Facilitate ISO or similar standards certification/audit related activities for the software development teams as per company policies

- Take ownership of the outsourced development work, be the single point of contact for external partners

- Identify and drive process improvements across your areas of ownership and automation of critical program level productivity metrics

Experience & Certifications :

- Qualification: B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech in computer science and engineering/IT

- Minimum 8 years of total experience out of which 5 years of experience should be as technical program/project manager preferably with track record of executing cross functional software products having gone through full project development cycle

- Minimum 2 years of software development experience

- Prefer candidates with experience in projects handling product-centric development

- Project management related certification like PMP is preferred

- Agile software development practices related certification is required
