Job Summary:

- We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our M&A team. The role is part of a small,
collaborative team focused on the execution of M&A activities and strategic partnerships across the company.

- You will play a key role in the design and the execution of our M&A strategy for India. You will analyse the competitive landscape and identify potential acquisition targets that want to join Havas and grow with us to become a leader in the country.

Reporting: Chief Financial Officer, Havas Group

Key Responsibilities:

- Understand the broader market context & what is happening in the organization and use this insight to identify growth avenues

- Track and analyse the competitive landscape to identify potential M&A targets, prepare and update pipeline overview

- Initiate contacts with brokers and potential M&A targets

- Support APAC M&A manager on the preparation of business plan, financial models, internal investment committee documentation, drafting and negotiating of transaction documents

- Oversee due diligence process to prepare commercial analysis and considerations

- Coordinate all regulatory aspect of the transactions. Securing Regulatory approvals and sanctions if any. Ensuring all legal and regulatory risks are identified, assessed, managed / mitigated

- Integration of existing and future acquisitions including day one readiness and post-merger integration activities

- Post-investment tracking and analysis of operational and financial parameters and recommend changes if any.

Profile requirements:

- Chartered Accountant or MBA from leading business school with 6-8 years of experience of applicable industry and/or consulting experience

- At least 4 years of M&A related experience (investment banking, M&A advisory, corporate finance, transaction services and/or management consultancy) and experience across the whole transaction cycle

- Collaborative spirit and hands-on mentality

- Strong organisational skills with resilience when deadlines are under pressure;

- Exceptional analytical, Strategy and critical thinking skills essential

- Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint

- Experience of working with and managing the expectations of a diverse range of stakeholders.

- Ability to assimilate information and learn quickly and turn ambiguity into an opportunity for creative solution

- Understanding of financial markets and the impact of changes on the organization

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills facilitating the rapid establishment of constructive relationships and personal credibility

- Ability to demonstrate resilience in challenging situations and potential to progress further in the organization

- Highly tuned commercial acumen and curiosity with demonstrated ability to develop and deliver value from complex deals. Proven track record of commercial acumen, execution excellence and delivering results.
