Restaurant, hospitality, food and beverage COOs need problem-solving skills. For example, when the Outlet experiences a sudden decline in the number of customers, the COO can use these skills to identify ways to improve the facility's hospitality, such as organizing training programs for employees to enhance their competence. These COOs also need superior leadership abilities to create productive workplace environments and interpersonal skills to maintain professional relations with vendors, workers and customers.

Overseeing Recruitment:

Chief operating officers responsible for hospitality, food and beverage manage the Hatti Kaapi's staffing needs and oversee recruitment drives, often conducting interviews to identify and select competent chefs, head cooks, food service managers, bakers, patrons and beverage serving workers. These COOs also draw and review job descriptions, delegate duties, conduct performance evaluations and recommend or implement promotions and demotions.

Ensuring Compliance:

To conduct periodic inspections to ensure all staff maintain good hygiene and chefs and servers wear gloves when handling food. The chief operating officer also attend relevant conferences and read industry publications to stay abreast with the latest hospitality, food and beverage trends.
