Harman - Business Analyst

Position Description:

The Business Analyst assists in the creation of actionable insights that enable companies to maximize profitable decision-making. Working with Client Leads, the analyst assists in delivering these insights, including analysis, synthesis, and reporting of key performance indicators and underlying product trends, transactions shifts, consumer behavior patterns, and other outside market influences. This role is a forward-thinking, agile leader that works as part of a team to create industry-changing systems and products that place Harman as thought-leaders in the big data phenomenon.

What You'll Do:

- Understand problems faced by the C suite in the hospitality and retail/grocery space

- Leverage data and modeling techniques to deliver actionable insights

- Deliver client ready presentation over the phone to senior leadership

- Develop and enhance existing portfolio of analytics services and products

What You'll Need:

- Quantitative Masters with 1 + years relevant experience in one or more of the areas : Restaurant, Hospitality, Retail, Groceries Industries

- Experience delivering analytic product and services to clients in one or more areas below: Pricing, Price Elasticity, Segmentation, Offer Optimization, Marketing Mix Modeling, Site/Location Selection

- Experience with the following data sets: Point of Sale Transactional, Loyalty, Survey, Email Response, Campaign, Demographic, Geospatial data

- Experience leading teams using database (SQL Server/Hadoop/ Redshift), Visualization Tools (Tableau), and modeling tools (R)

- Strong ability to communicate statistical/data driven insight to non-quantitative audiences

- Experience managing both quantitative and technology teams

- Strong executive presence and client communication skills

- Experience working in an Innovative and fast paced environment

- Ability to work across silos/teams
