THE ROLE

- Ability to think several years into the future as it relates to the general evolution of technology and how it could impact the various components of the business from a product /Service vantage point.

- Managing and commercializing recognized innovation in a multinational context, including product and process, and involvement with IP and Legal.

- To create formal business cases and product descriptions and work as a facilitator between the various internal practices to ensure product policy and processes are negotiated, documented, and executed accurately.

- Identify and present innovative and creative product solutions by adopting latest tools and technologies. Leads regularly scheduled meetings centered on system and operational requirements for all service lines including new product development.

- Experience in driving the complete product lifecycle from inception to GTM within a cross-functional team, application support teams and other service engineers providing varied IT services to the client.

- Project management of all product integration/launches/changes throughout implementation.

- Identify the business and operational requirements based upon the business requirements & objectives of each product and service lines.

- Display a high level of critical thinking in cross-functional process analysis and problem resolution for new and existing products/platforms, support issue resolution, SLA adherence etc.

- Coordinate and build strong working relations with various internal practices and cross business units.

- Develop & conduct specialized training for new products and technology necessary for new product/platform development and raise awareness & application of relevant subject matter.

- Monitor internal processes for efficiency and validity pre & post launch/changes, SLA improvements in different service lines.

- Expected to recognize performance strengths and limitations of subordinates and effectively coach them to achieve their maximum potential

- Exploring ways of improving existing products/platforms and services, and increasing profitability

- Interfaces with development leads to ensure product requirements are properly understood

- Coordinates all releases with the development, marketing, sales and service teams

Qualification

- Bachelors/Masters in Computer Science and Engineering with at least 6-8 years of application/platform development experience in large global enterprises.

- Experience leading multiple service line teams including application and product development teams.

- Skilled at developing new ideas from both a platform and process perspective.

- Strong P&L orientation and ability to grow account by identifying new opportunities within client organization and positioning all service lines available.

- Able to handle $5M+ account and grow year on year.

- Experience in product development, strategic planning, and implementation preferred.

- Should be able to handle Product Strategy Roadmap discussion with the client. SLA related discussion on various managed services support provided to the client.

- Be a self-starter, a highly motivated person able to work in a fast paced environment that is continually changing.

- Good technical background of cloud based application platforms or B2C or B2B application development.

- Strong experience in Java, J2EE, C++, web services, web2.0, XML, SOAP etc. with middleware integration.

- Experience in developing e-commerce platforms, mobile enablement of web-applications, especially working with Liferay, Magento, ESB, SOAP, SOA would be an added plus.

- Strong interpersonal, project management, negotiation, and decision-making skills. Proven ability to build relationships with peers, cross-functional partners, industry partners, customers, and the field.

- Must demonstrate thought leadership qualities in the domain/technology area handled.
