HandyTrain - Product Manager

HandyTrain is a next-generation learning experience product startup which is growing 100% y/y. It is based out of picturesque Goa.

HandyTrain is looking for an experienced Product Manager with demonstrated success in mobile and/or web products to join the team. The person will need to thrive and deliver results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. As an enthusiastic and entrepreneurial product manager, we expect the person to innovate and execute on product initiatives that will bring surprise and delight to our customers- internal and external- while delivering tremendous business value to HandyTrain.

Responsibilities

- Co-own the product roadmap based on a good understanding of customer needs, usage patterns, trends, competition, business objectives and product metrics.

- Work closely with cross functional teams to Brainstorm, prioritize and develop new product ideas.

- Ensure product ideas are sound, designs are flawless, our execution is perfect

- Create comprehensive Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), agile stories, wireframes and establish key performance metrics for new product initiatives.

- Establish product acceptance criteria & review QA test cases

- Participate in daily scrum meetings and work closely with engineering, QA and design teams

- Analyze data regularly and monitor post launch metrics

- Prepare and cascade product documentation, guides and provide product training to all stakeholders - Support, Channel, Field teams

Qualifications & Skills:

- 3+ years of experience in a product management role (experience in edutech would be a plus).

- BS or MS in computer science, electrical/electronics engineering (MBA from a reputed b-school is desirable)

- Hands on knowledge of agile product development and scrum.

- Strong technical background to understand and contribute to the design of data architecture and infrastructure components.

- Inclination towards metrics and numbers, hands-on experience in using popular analytics tools is highly desired.

- Strong passion for solving problems, creating compelling and addictive user experiences

- Outstanding written/oral communications skills, organizational, analytical skills, and attention to detail

- Must be a self-starter, driven and a team player

- Prior start-up, enterprise product and/or consulting experience is a strong plus

- Should have launched at least one successful product, preferably on multiple platforms (iOS, Android, Web)
