Big Data Architect-:  Job Description  Big Data Architect with expert level experience in Big Data Technologies and implementing large scale data processing/data storage/data distribution systems. This is a very challenging role at the company with an opportunity for building innovative software products and solutions to fundamentally improve the existing data architecture in client environment. The focus of this role is to solve complex problems requiring building of scalable systems and platforms that handle large data sets in a secured setup.   The role is to setup Hadoop / Spark clusters from scratch and deploy analytics solutions on top of it. You should be willing to explore & learn newer technologies to guide/manage a full life-cycle of a Hadoop solution.   Location - Pune and Bangalore  Roles and Responsibilities  - Understand the business requirements and translate the requirements into project specific solution design specifications.   - Owns the solution / design of a particular solution offering specific to the project.   - Spearhead product/application/solution design and development.   - Ensure that the services/delivery team adhere to the enterprise standards set by the enterprise architecture teams.   - Act as Subject Matter Expert and strategist for solution product area.   - Provides expertise to identify and translate system requirements into software design documentation.   - Build and maintain repository for deliverables, methodologies, and business development documents.   - Interface and coordinate tasks with internal and external technical resources.   - Collaborates with Project Managers and technical directors to provision estimates, develop overall implementation solution plan, and serve as a lead as required, to implement the installation, customization, and integration efforts.   - Direct or indirect involvement in the development of policies, standards and guidelines that direct the selection, development, implementation and use of Big Data analytics within the enterprise.  - Risk Management of information and Big Data system assets through appropriate standards and security policies.  - Oversee aspects of project life cycle, from initial kickoff through requirements analysis, design and implementation phases for projects within the solution area.  - Perform design reviews for Big Data Projects across the organization to ensure that it is in line with the enterprise standards.  - Provide quality assurance for services within the solution area.  - Participate in evaluation of vendors and software for possible integration into the systems or environment, including strategic applications, tools, and utilities.  Key Qualifications  - Proficiency with Big Data processing technologies (Hadoop, HBase, Flume, Storm, Kafka).   - Expertise in building massively scalable distributed data processing solutions with Hadoop.   - Experience with distributed systems, large scale non-relational data stores, map-reduce systems, data modeling, database performance, and multi-terabyte data warehouses.   - Experience in Data Analytics, Data warehousing.   - Experience in building data pipelines and analysis tools using Java, Python.   - Aptitude to independently learn new technologies.   - Strong problem solving skills.   - Experience designing or implementing systems which work with external vendor' interfaces.
