HackerEarth was started in 2012 by IIT Roorkee graduates. From its humble beginnings in the college dorm rooms, we have come a long way to disrupt the way programmers practice, code and compete. We are funded by Prime Venture Partners and, top Silicon Valley investors. HackerEarth was also named one of NASSCOM top 10 hottest startups in 2015. With largest platform for developers globally, we are rapidly growing. We are a team of 70+ people, across different functions like Sales, Marketing, Operations and Product.
We are looking for a Program Manager who will work effectively across functional teams including global HackerEarth community to build and improve product offerings. S/He should be entrepreneurial, innovative, and must have the ability to execute complex programs, and see them through from launch to finish and will monitor/report on progress throughout the process.
Program Manager Job Responsibilities :
- Oversee all day-to-day activities and work with the community to achieve specific program goals.
- Manage technical content generation (programming tutorials and questions) per schedule through a team of freelance content writers.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills; being adept at handling people from diverse backgrounds and various seniority levels ranging from students to academicians to Industry specialists.
- Creatively define the project, timelines, pacing and communicating the same to both internal and external stakeholders
- Accomplish people objectives by identifying, recruiting, selecting, assigning, and coaching the community contributors. Communicating constantly the expectations, the projects and the deadlines.
- Achieve operational objectives by meticulous planning, timely disbursement of action plans and deadlines, allotment of contributing information, following up and completing action plans.
- Update job knowledge by working together with the community contributors and participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and working closely with various technical universities and groups.
What skills you should have :
- Ability to understand needs of the customers, translate them into clear targets with defined timelines
- Ability to understand the nature of technical content, and work with experts who would create this content.
- Ability to get things done under tight deadlines
- Extrovert with exceptional communication skills
- Passion to talk numbers, track metrics and evaluate everything quantitatively
- The role requires innovative thinking, strong people management and high quality focus.
Education and Experience :
- Have a Bachelors/Masters/PhD in Computer Science & Engineering or related discipline
- People with prior experience in Program management, managing community based programs or Experience in working as a strong liaison between key groups in organizations, vendors and service providers
Salary Range: 8-15 LPA
