Desired Candidate Profile :

- CA with minimum 5 years post qualification experience in statutory audits.

- Expert level of technical knowledge

- Experience in IND AS/IGAAP/ IFRS

- Big 4 firm background preferred, but not mandatory

- Excellent communication and presentation skills

- Ability to prioritize, work on multiple assignments, and manage ambiguity.

- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills

Job description

Core operational area

- Lead the statutory audit practice in terms of providing direction, active leadership and quality review, shaping processes and finalization of audit.

- Apply and work within the frameworks of Audit Standards, IND AS, IGAAP. Exposure to IFRS (US GAAP exposure would be desirable but not essential)

- Maintain the highest order of integrity and independence

- Update and maintain internal processes and quality manuals for the assurance function, benchmarked to industry best practices

- Technical content writing and/or speaking at external conferences or internal sessions

Internal management

- Coach, train and develop auditing staff to upgrade their knowledge. Provide thought leadership within core work area

- Monitor and direct auditing staff including interns and employees (qualified and non-qualified).

- Manage delivery goals, project budgets and execution plans

- Create a climate of high performance within the team.

- Manage team performance and productivity. Provide real-time constructive feedback to team members.

- Participate in the development of training programs and their delivery

Business growth and practice leadership

- Provide management over a portfolio of clients and deliver high-quality audit and assurance services, including preparing and reviewing audit plans and work.

- Overall involvement in providing assurance services to the portfolio of clients across sectors.

- Participate in the development of new service offerings and improvements

- Identify ways to maximize the relationship with clients and deliver added value. Expand opportunities with existing clients.

- Develop long-term relationships and networks both internally and externally.
