Education :
- Engineer + MBA or CA rank holder + MBA
- One of the education degrees should top notch - proving high degree of comfort with detailed number oriented work
Experience :
- 3-5 years of experience preferably in a lending company
- Couple of years in a Fintech preferred
- Experience of working in Fintech - lending fintechs preferred
Technical Knowledge :
- Indepth understanding of lending products and industry
- Indepth understanding of Yield, IRR, ROA, ROE, unit economics, flat rate, reducing interest rate
- Should be extremely comfortable with - Oustanding, DPD, Cohort analysis of default, 30+,60+,90+, write off, disbursals, Months on Book
- Must have a general sense of industry numbers
- Should have been in FP&A role for couple of years
- Expert at Variance analysis (Budget vs. Actual, Actual vs. Past period leading to waterfall of contribution leading to business reasons)
- Good at business deep dives - should be able to connect operational metrics and levers to financial metrics
- Expert Excel skills lookups, goal seek, circular referencing, solver, index match, pivot tables (calculated fields)
- Some level of comfort with SQL is preferred but is not mandatory
- Should be known in for his/her organization for diligence and tenacity - If you do not have this skill then don't bother to apply. Other skills can be learnt (to a certain extent) for this role.
