About the department:

Groupon acts as a marketing platform for it's merchants. Thus, marketing and promotions are at the heart of everything we do. We look for people (not necessarily from a marketing background) who:

- Have creative, out of the box thinking & understand the technology space.

- Have a flair for creating disruptive campaigns across media platforms. (Read: The "Yoda" of creativity who always has the force working for him/her)

- Love number crunching and are excited to work on big data analytics, even if it is way past midnight. (Read: Evil geniuses who can generate Millions of Dollars without spending a Penny)

- Love managing and working with cross functional teams.

Primary responsibilities will include;

- Drive employee engagement by ensuring that communication with top management is frequent and impactful

- Identify areas and opportunities for communicating business decisions, results and other key information to either all or selected employees through channels like email, internal wiki

- Chart out a communication calendar especially for the CEO to ensure that employees at every level feel motivated and connected

- Drive communication initiatives like setting up of internal Wiki / Voice of Employees etc

- Gather feedback from employees at regular intervals and share with the top management

Skills and Experience:

- 2 to 5 years prior experience in managing internal communications.

- Individuals with a flair for communication with excellent copywriting skills.

- Knowledge of basic design software / operating wordpress blogs / Google sites will be an advantage.
