Group Product Manager - FMCG

Looking for a Group Product Manager for a leading FMCG Company based in Mumbai. The Position reports into the VP - Marketing.

QUALIFICATIONS: MBA / PG in Marketing.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Objective:

- To work on Key Strategic Projects either in Existing Businesses or in the area of New Business Development.

- To work on a specific brief with a defined objective and a given problem area.

- To conduct a thorough diagnostics of the internal and external environment based on the same and arrive at a full report .

- Chartering way forward in the form of actionable inputs directly addressing the key problem area.

- To work independently or in close coordination with the respective departments in the organisation

- Establish the strategic roadmap for each defined Project in the below mentioned areas;

- New Product Development: Working closely with the R&D team to study the opportunity areas in a given Product Category.

- Scanning the environment for existing products in the category, submitting final proposal.

- Facilitating the R&D team with necessary product development inputs from a marketeer's perspective.

- Sketching the full product from the drawing Board stage to its final Launch Stage.

- To work with the MIS team on various analytical Projects across Business Division's for either division specific inputs or brand specific directions.

- To use the existing data information and interpret it in a meaningful and directional manner enabling faster and better decisions for the brand/ division in question.

- Setting up Strategic systems like Business Intelligence, etc for the marketing department for smoother functioning of the same.

- Organising training workshops to facilitate the core Sales and Marketing team in seamless delivery of their goals. Training needs would encompass both soft skills as well as the technical aspects of the field.
