ROLE : IT Network Architect and Strategy Leader – Global role

DESIGNATION : Group Manager

REPORTING TO : COO

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE : 15+

QUALIFICATIONS : Masters degree in technology from a premier institute required

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Will be responsible for envisioning and articulating IT’s network strategy to drive network transformation and innovation, to enable competitive differentiation and efficiency in network services.

- Responsible for the creation of the next generation Network architecture and smooth transition from current implementation into the new network vision. New network vision includes network overlays tools, dynamic networks, and virtualized network for easy fulfillment of network services for IT installations worldwide.

- Responsible to ensure that network architecture and strategy comply with business and security compliance requirements.

- Responsible to ensure Network architecture and strategy supports business requirement on Network quality of service (QoS)

- Responsible & accountable for selecting and approving, IT products and services in support of Network architecture and strategy. This includes anything that touches Network services in support of multiple business functions and processes.

- Responsible for creating Network strategies that are efficient, cost effective and easy to manage. Network cost efficiency must be measured via cost benchmarks against commercial service providers.

- Responsible for creating a standard IT project transitioning methodology by applying best practices, such as prototyping, tracking and post implementation auditing, communicating it to the stakeholders and ensuring adherence to the new methodology.

- Create Network architectures and strategy that enable uninterrupted and quality customer service.

DESIRED SKILLS

- Ability to represent the organization professionally with senior external client personnel.

- Proven ability to manage a significant number of complex initiatives at the same time, as well as line-managing a large and growing organization.

- Considerable years of diverse skills & experience in managing technology, business and people.

- Strong technology background with experience in both infrastructure and application development complemented by demonstrated business knowledge and experience of leading a P&L unit preferably or managing a cost center with significant budge.

- The candidate must have a demonstrated financial and accounting acumen couple by proven ability to prioritize competing demands.

PREFERRED SKILLS

- Extensive experience on IT Network architecture and strategy working for a multinational Network provider and leading large network transformations managing a highly technical team.

- 15 year of IT experience with considerable years working on Network transformations, managing IT Network efficiencies and people.

- Strong technology background with experience in both Network infrastructure and Network tools complemented by demonstrated business knowledge and experience of leading cost center with significant budge.

- Deep technical skills on Network Management, Network designs (LAN, MAN and WAN), Voice, Dynamic Network Hosting, Virtual Networks, Network Overlays, telephony, and Network asset management and procurement.

- The candidate must have demonstrated ability to build cost effective Network solutions and proven ability to prioritize competing demands in the process of delivering effective Network transformation of outstanding quality.

- Must have a substantial management experience in the following categories:

- Large distributed IT environments

- Global resource and project management

- Staffing & sourcing alternatives, including remote , contract and outsourced.

- Matrixed organizational structure.

- Contract negotiations with Network vendors

- Ability to shape and manage IT Network expectations at all levels of the organization

- Ability to communicate and articulate well across geographies.
