Description : - Manage team with mix of Manager(s), Assoc. Manager(s) and Individual contributors to develop end to end application solutions (UI, API, Big data & Data Science) for business unit(s) on the big data platform. - Conducts regular meetings with the team as a whole and in one-one platform. - Responsible for organization wide Performance Management initiatives and set guidelines for Promotions & Performance Improvement Plans. - Conduct performance reviews of team members and gives them feedback, makes promotion and salary recommendations. - Responsible for translating organization objectives to individual goal for the team members and enable engineers to achieve them. - Responsible for hiring, training, and retaining talent. - Drive the COE for the Application development group. - Develop roadmaps for the CoE & execute to the roadmap. - Responsible of developing and setting BKM's across the Application Development group. - Partake on initiatives to improve productivity and efficiency and communicate with leadership on these initiatives. - Lead 2 strategic responsibilities at organizational level over and above the day-to-day activities. - Perform organizational audits, create, and implement succession planning. - Mentoring & Grooming Manager(s), Assoc Manager(s) & Key talents, work with them to create their IDP's based on their Career Development Plan. - Communicates directly with Eng Managers & Directors in BU's on staffing, forecasting, training, etc. Profile : - Expertise in managing Data science & Application development teams. - Experience in delivering data science solutions and web applications. - Application development exposure on Angular, Java, Web Services, HTML 5.0, CSS 3.0 & JS. - Experience on Big date (Hadoop, Cloudera). - Managing Data Science, AI & ML Use Cases with strong expertise in Statistics, Machine Learning algorithms. - 8-10+ years of experience in managing key Individual contributors, Managers(s)/Assoc. Manager(s). - Demonstrated ability to develop team roadmaps based on the needs of the organization. - Demonstrated ability on driving initiatives & process improvements to improve organizational productivity and efficiency. - Knowledge on Agile process and tools. - Excellent communication skills & presentation skills to leadership teams. - Demonstrated leadership skill in decision making and problem solving. - Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams and working with multiple stake holders.
