Group Leader - Process Planning and Lean Manufacturing

Job Profile :

You will improve the efficiency of production and ensure high quality, while complying with existing national standards and requirements for reliability and quality

- You will develop measures to increase production productivity, capacity as well as improve the organization, work and management processes

- You will incorporate business plans regarding the scope of long-term requirements for production and implement also effective controlling

- You will create and establish a manufacturing Business Scorecard and report to factory management and sporadically to Business Unit Headquarter

- You will manage your dedicated employees and develop them successful for the long term.

The main areas of action :

Top of Form

- Drive all lean activities in the defined areas of responsibility, so that a continuous improvement process is consequently implemented.

Bottom of Form

- Analyze difficult processes / themes / disruptions in production and production related and also administrative fields. Identify weak points, develop solutions and support related implementation, in order to improve production performance and to attain further production improvement.

- Leadership of practitioner teams and / or assigned expert employees, in order to achieve by common target orientated acting best results and to promote the subject.

- Definition of comprehensive standards, description of methods and development of documentation (including also processes, work place development, tools and methods) so that cross-functional (across team or department) knowledge is made available and applicable.

- Initiating and drive meetings, workshops and coaching of change processes and activities in the factory and for the management function, so that the successful implementation of lean thinking is assured.

- Responsible for costs / benefits of lean projects and carry out the controlling of measure implementation, in order to provide the key figures and benefit statement. Standards must be assured; timetable kept and if necessary escalate in the early stages into the management function.

- Cooperation with HQ in the development and implementation of the production road map for 3-5 years.

Skills & Strengths :

- Structured problem solving skills

- Excellent customer and people skills with excellent capabilities to convince a customer in accepting changes.

- Willingness to travel (partially international)

- Intercultural sensitivity

- Ability to perform analysis of reports of customer visits to sales, service.

- Ability to interact on senior levels (Sales, Business Management, Service and Customers etc.)
