Group Leader - Cotton Purchase - M.Sc Agriculture - Understand business requirements and review/approve annual /weekly/ monthly sourcing plan based on annual business and production plans - Study & plan Procurement, logistics and shipping (competitive intelligence, industry forecasts, buying trends) for cotton, yarn - Evaluate feasibility of alternatives (outsourcing/contracting etc.) to ensure timely delivery and cost optimization - Drive initiatives to reduce cost - Build partnerships with preferred vendors (RM suppliers, logistic vendors and shipping partners) through quantity commitments - Identification, Development and Evaluation of cotton commission agents, Ginner and cotton broker - Liaise with global / local vendors to secure competitive bids and availability - Conducting pre-bid technical meetings with vendors, contractors, consultants & owner to resolve technical issues so as to ensure that bids from all the competitors are at par with each other for comparison - Monitor the cash flow by collecting & consolidating cash flows of individual contractors/consultants and update the cash flow requirements on regular basis
