Group Finance Manager - Auto/Manufacturing - CA

The Client :

Diversified group of Small and medium business units + trust including auto parts trading, healthcare and consumer products.

The Role :

Overall responsibility for financial planning and execution, taxation and compliance for the group of Small and medium businesses

The expectations from the role (including but not limited to)

- Finance strategy and quarterly action planning and execution.

- Finance structuring to meet the short term and medium term goals of the organisation

- Manage banking relationships including planning for usage of funds, be up-to-date on new schemes the company is eligible for.

- Cash Flow Planning- follow up on invoices and collections, aging analysis, systems for internal controls, oversees daily/weekly cash flow management

- Cash Management functions including overseeing accounts receivable, payable, cash, payroll and reconciliation

- Financial reporting- MIS, fortnightly report for finance consultant and investor, preparing financial statements, cash flow reports, budgets and budget to actual and projections.

- Income Tax related work, liasoning with auditor

- Ensure all statutory compliance including secretarial

- Legal coordination

- Vendor agreements and costing analysis, reviewing of contracts including insurance policies

- SOP for the finance and accounting department. Understanding the current and past systems and get up to date with the same and propose changes where necessary to eliminate errors and provide checks and balances

- Move towards greater reliance on internal team vis a vis a reliance on auditors office etc for everyday/frequent guidance.

The person for the role :

- Qualified Chartered Accountant with about 8 to 15 years experience managing finance and accounts function in a mid size company.

- Ability to drive business value through finance function through multiple stakeholder management

- Dynamic, likes the challenge of a multi- function hands- on role

- Takes initiative, is knowledgeable and is willing to learn

- Has to be tech savvy and comfortable with tally entering and tally analysis

- Must also be used to online functioning of many key aspects including taxation, customs, company secretarial websites

- Must enjoy a systems driven set up

- Wants to grow with the company and build a team over time
