Group HR Operations Hub Director

Our client is an FTSE 100 company and global leader in their business. They are the parent company of leading global consumer brands and have more than 18 million customers worldwide.

The search is on for a Group HR Operations Hub Director, a pivotal role responsible for establishing and leading services in the hub. This position entails close collaboration with leadership in other hub locations to ensure consistency within the Group HR Operations Operating Model. As a crucial part of the location leadership team, the director will partner with functional Hub leadership to optimize site functionality and serve as the onsite leader for Group HR Operations.

The Group HR Operations Hub Director, in collaboration with broader leadership, will oversee the daily delivery of services encompassing people services, people technology, people analytics, and people change & transformation from the new hub. Leading a team of approximately 100 people, the director will identify opportunities for transformation, optimization, and expansion of capabilities and services. With a keen understanding of both the local landscape and the broader market, the Hub Director will contribute valuable local insights, learnings, and opportunities for continuous improvement to the Group HR Operations leadership team.

Please note:

HR Operations leadership experience in a shared capability center/GCC/GIC environment is a must-have for this role.

Some of the key responsibilities will include:

- The role encompasses close collaboration with Group HR Operations Leadership to establish a strategic vision across various capability areas, aligning them with broader goals. As a key contributor, ownership of delivering specific capabilities and identifying future service opportunities within Group HR Operations is expected. Essential collaboration with the local leadership team involves identifying consolidation opportunities and promoting cross-functional skill-sharing.

- Responsibilities extend to overseeing Group HR Operations services in the hub, contributing to the establishment of future services, and acting as a point of escalation when necessary. The day-to-day management of the Group HR Operations hub is a critical aspect. The position also involves partnering with Group HR Operations leadership to inform operational goals, monitor progress, and proactively address challenges. This includes monitoring global service performance, utilizing real-time data, seeking feedback, and making recommendations for tailoring services.

- Furthermore, the role drives a culture of change, ensuring an experience-led focus on continuous improvement. Serving as the Group HR Operations liaison between teams and other functions, seamless communication, and fostering a collaborative culture are paramount. The role represents Group HR Operations in Hub Leadership team meetings, documenting outcomes, and communicating them to the Group HR Operations leadership team. Additionally, providing guidance and support on the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, development, and collaborating with relevant HR teams, is integral to the role.

To be eligible for this role you will require:

- Expertise as an HR thought leader and change leader, maintaining current knowledge of market and industry advancements. Experience in leading teams that provide global HR services and managing processes within a global HR operating model, identifying opportunities for improvement and service enhancement. A successful track record overseeing large teams of HR professionals, delivering Group HR Operations services in both local and globally virtual settings.

- A robust understanding of HR processes, systems, and technologies, coupled with knowledge of best practices and industry trends. Extensive knowledge of local market and industry trends informs and shapes the delivery of Group HR Operations services in the new hub.

- Experience in operating within a matrix management environment and complex federated global business structures. A proven track record of effectively partnering with senior HR leadership and critical stakeholders across a global business to formulate and execute operational strategies.
