Group Chief Technology Officer - Manufacturing Firm (20-25 yrs)
Roles and Responsibilities :
- Overseeing and determining timeframes for major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations and outages
- Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time
- Managing and reporting on allocation of IT budget to ensure cost effectiveness
- Supervise and coach team members
- Identifying opportunities for team training and skills advancement along with designing training programs and workshops for staff
- Running regular checks on network and data security and conducting regular system audits
- Identifying and acting on opportunities to improve and update software and systems. This includes ERP, HRMS, windows, any other software being utilized by the organization
- Monitors network utilization and performance, implements procedures for network optimization, reliability, and availability
- Manages and coordinates all IT-related matters including data, wireless communications, mobile technology, telephony, security, and computer hardware and software
- Trouble-shoots and solves problems related to hardware, software, and network problems
- Developing and implementing IT policy and best practice guides for the organization
- Build long term relationships with outside vendors for IT related products and services
- Researches and recommends acquisition of network hardware and software
Desired Candidate Profile :
- Having experience as CTO in manufacturing company
- All-round project management skills with a solid understanding of the various programme-types. Typically have several years of technology and business experience
- Understand the role that technology plays in helping an organization achieve its overall business goals. He plays a key role in an organizations strategic planning, helping to identify and anticipate future technology needs, as well as improve efficiencies with current systems.
- Person should have good communication skills. In addition to motivating their team, educate employees as new technologies and systems are implemented.
