Group Chief Financial Officer - CA/CS - Real Estate

Job Purpose:

- As a member of the senior leadership team, the Group CFO should be completely responsible for finance and accounts of a group, project financing, accounts, and treasury, corporate Strategic and Financial Planning, liaison with financial institutes and banks. He should be an advisor to the Top Management & divisional heads for evaluating and assisting them with their financial & business planning. Responsible for overseeing all fiscal and fiduciary responsibilities for the organization, in conjunction with the board of directors and the finance, audit, and investment committees of the board.

Key Accountabilities:

- Provide strategic leadership to the overall finance function at the company ensuring that the function is properly organized, teamed, developed, motivated, and compensated

- Transform the organization to make it a robust & professional company with a competitive edge having very well defined norms of corporate governance

- Ensuring statutory compliances including the quarterly and annual financial statements and presenting the same to the Audit Committee and Board of Directors

- Advice the Board on strategic issues, corporate planning and provide inputs towards major/critical business decisions in terms of financial viability, current financial position and covenants restricting future strategic decisions

- Will overlook all aspects of finance including accounting, taxation, treasury, operational management, MIS, IR, fund raising, financial reporting and analysis

- Responsible to respond to the investor query

- Corporate taxation matters including tax planning and compliance of Service tax matters including service tax audits and works contract taxes in respect of projects being undertaken at different locations

- Develop and manage all financial and accounting processes, in line with the business strategy, plans and processes, while ensuring adequate financial controls, discipline, and statutory compliance

- Should be well versed in raising finance from Banks/Financial Institutions including corporate loans, project loans, lease rent discounting (LRDs), loan against shares from various banks, financial institutions and NBFCs

- Advise on Fund Raising through various means and ensure effective management and availability of funds and timely closing and reporting to the management

- Direct and review project costing and accounting to ensure complete controllership and profitability analyses of projects

- Proactively monitor changes in government regulations and policies, industry, and economy affecting the company's finance and accounting practices, assess the implications and develop / modify procedures and controls to ably respond to the situation

- Maximize shareholder value through financial restructuring of the company & benchmarking financial metrics with global competitors

- Review procedures relating to the preparation of the company's plans / budgets / forecasts and controls pertaining to key finance activities, monitor adherence to the relevant processes, policies and take timely action in case of deviations

- Identify areas of improvements in all operations of the company and Set systems and processes to control and manage the financial and commercial operations through appropriate financial management and reporting systems, controls, procedures and processes

- Being member of the core team awarding works to various contractors and suppliers, the profile includes analysis of the tender's vis-a-vis budgeted costs and negotiating the prices before awarding work

- Ensure development of effective taxation strategies and plans, implement and monitor their effectiveness to minimize the tax burden

Desired Skills and Experience:

Education: CA/CS

- Minimum 20 years of total experience with last 5 years at the capacity of a CFO

- Experience of corporate structures, financial regulation and financial governance

- Proven strategic and conceptual capabilities that can be applied to the development and improvement of financial management and control across corporate operations.

- Highly developed commercial acumen, including the financial management skills to monitor the finances of the company's commercial operations, and the ability to assess the risk/return profile of the business investments

- Thorough understanding & exposure to project finance, taxation, costing structures & pricing criteria
