The Chief Financial Officer (- CFO- ) position would be accountable for managing overall financial performance monitoring, and operational risk of the Group; including the development of a comprehensive financial strategy, establishing group level control metrics, processes, and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets, optimize shareholder value and report group level financial performance analyses to investors and the Board.

Principal accountability:

1. Develop overall financing and tax strategies for Group's investments into various entities.

2. Ensure the investment process is smooth and put in adequate checks and balances in places; synthesize pre and post-approval process to ensure strong performance

3. Supervise financial controllers (- FCs- ) of various Group entities.

4. Collect regular financial reporting documents from the FCs of various Group entities.

5. Ensure that books of accounts are closed on a timely manner and correctly represent the financial health of the entities.

6. Manage External and Internal Auditors relationship.

7. Oversee the financial operations of subsidiary companies and foreign operations.

8. Participate in key decisions as a key member of the executive management team.

9. Supervise capital raise, acquisition due-diligence and negotiate equity raise / acquisitions at Group holding company level.

10. Report consolidated results to the board of directors at holding company level.

11. Demonstrate strong understanding of accounting principles and policies in India as well as per the requirements of US GAAP and IFRS.

12. Understand legal implications of capital structuring, investment routing or any other open legal issues at the Group level.

13. Ensure that the investments are structured in a tax efficient manner.

14. Ensure that the required compliances, both tax and secretarial, are in place by undertaking periodic compliance audit.

15. Demonstrate strong understanding of legal complexities related to investments in India including Company Law, FEMA, Transfer Pricing and other applicable regulations.

16. Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies.

17. Establish group level control metrics, processes and monitoring of control systems.

18. Report adequate Management Information System in form that is acceptable to the Board.

19. Report any potential liquidity issues at the Group level to board members and shareholders.

20. Conduct risk assessment and report potential issues to the audit committee of the Board of Directors.

21. Monitor cash balances and forecast consolidated cashflows.

22. Participate in discussions with current and potential investors, and investment bankers. Represent the Group in such discussions.

The candidate should be a CA and CS with twelve to fifteen years of progressively responsible experience for a major company or division of a large corporation. Should have experience in partnering with an executive team and have robust written and oral communication skills.
