Group Chief Commercial & Operations Officer - Bank at Uganda (East Africa) Qualification:- MBA We ideally want someone who has a lot of experience on unsecured lending and a senior position who can run a team and who has run a P&L before.

- Key leadership team member and provide oversight on business strategy and performance for the group. As the GCCOO, you will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, overseeing the implementation of strategic initiatives, and ensuring the efficient functioning of the organization. You will be responsible for ensuring risks are controlled and that we are a profitable business which means very close oversight of cashflow and the P&L.

- Reporting directly to the GCEO, you will optimise processes, enhance productivity, and align operations with the overall business strategy.

- The role will require the skill to develop high-performing and diverse teams across multiple markets within Africa.

- This role will require strong organisational and collaborative skills; to be proactive and hands -on and take the lead in a high-pressure FinTech Start-up and fast-paced environment. Responsibilities - Preferred candidate profile, Minimum 15 years experience banking / financial sector.

- Strong understanding of microfinance or financial services operations.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale operational transformations.

- Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

- Exceptional leadership and people management abilities.

- Experience in developing, planning, monitoring, and evaluating local and regional project performance.

- Extensive experience in a senior leadership role within the banking industry About the company - Microfinance bank
